Happy Monday to you. Nancy here with a new Make It Monday project.
It may be Valentine’s week but I am already looking
ahead to Easter. Easter Sunday actually is coming a bit earlier this year
(March 31) and as most paper crafters know, it’s never too early to get to
work.
Today’s I am showing you the mini Easter themed cards you see below.
Even though these cards are small, I wanted them to have the look of a full size card. They are fun and easy to make so let's get started.
I started out by coloring my images. I used images from the C.C. Designs Spring Has Sprung set and the Spring Peeps set just released last week.
I cut my card fronts and back using the 3 1/4 inch piece from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Lacey Squares dies. You will need two per card (I cut a total of 6).
I scored three of the pieces for the card back as shown below.
I folded the scored line and applied a strip of double sided tape as shown.
I went ahead and stamped the inside sentiment before assembling the card. The sentiment is from the new AmyR Eggstra Special set released last week.
I cut my backgrounds from patterned paper and mats from cardstock.
I used several dies to cut paper and felt embellishments to create simple scenes for each card which included Eggs Cutters just released last week, as well as Banner Day, Grass Border, and Mini Banners.
After completing the card fronts I attached them to the backs created earlier. This photo shows how the completed cards looks in the back after assembly.
Here are the completed cards individually so you can see details.
These could be used as place cards, gift enclosures in Easter baskets, etc.
Have a great week!
