Hello everyone, I hope you had an enjoyable weekend. Today I am showing you how to do the paper piercing that I seem to do on almost every project I do. I like how it makes die cuts look just a bit more snazzy.
I used my ruler with piercing holes, and aligned the cut edge of the die cut with a measurement that was 1/8" away from the line of piercing holes in the ruler. Using this ruler helps me keep the holes equidistant apart.
To make a line of holes along the curved edge of the die cut, rotate the ruler while the piercing tool is in the ruler. The ruler pivots but the paper doesn’t move. Keep moving along the edges until you have pierced all the way around. You may want to practice this technique first!
Here is what the finished product looks like.
Here is the finished project using the new Sugarplums Beach kit. You might have noticed a new word set and some dies as well. ;) I am teasing you for the previews coming up. Make sure to come back to see what else we have for you this week.
