Eric came home from work this afternoon with a big surprise, an iPhone. I have been talking about getting one for the last couple of months. I have had my blackberry for quite a few years and never found it very user friendly.
The iPhone takes pics, the pic on this post is from the iPhone-
Around the first of November I got a MacBook Air laptop and it is not compatible with my camera, video camera, etc. So I have made cards and not been able to post them. That is over now! I am hoping really soon to do a couple Copic coloring videos.
Onto the card: I colored Honey Beatrice with Copics, this is the image that I used for our website and packaging. The Honey logo is from Bee's Knee's Logos. I used Leafy Branch under the roses added "stems", and white pearls. To make the stems I took the wire stem part from the rose and rolled it around a paint brush end.

I am working on August images! Trying to come up with Halloween images in the middle of spring is hard, yikes. It will be a mixture of Halloween and Back to School.
When I am creating images for stamps I usually end up with a lot of stuff on the "stamp room floor", this little guy was one of the images that din't make it.
I am offering him as a free digi, just right click and save to your computer-

I am feeling the need for some freshening up. I created the header in Illustrator. I love Illustrator, all of the C.C. Designs images are created using it.
Amyways the pixie image in the header is Woodland Lucy with some new clothes. I like the springy color of her outfit, hee hee.
These are my steps for changing the header on typepad-
1. Create your blog header
2. I use http://www.online-image-editor.com/ to edit the header to make sure it is the right size. When exporting from Illustrator it gives the images a lot of white around them. I first crop the image and then resize. When I resize I keep it at about 770width. There is a formula to use, but I want fast and easy.
3. Save image to my laptop. I have a mac and it puts the image in my download files.
4. Sign into typepad.
5. Click on Design (which is under dahsboard. Then in the upper right hand box).
6.On the left hand side of the screen is Theme Builder, click on it.
7. In the middle of the screen is Banner and under that is Text or Image, click on it.
Make sure that the text/image radio button is marked for image.
8. Click Choose File, find the image on your computer and hit choose.
9. Scroll to the bottom and hit Save Changes.
10.--> This step is only if you have Custom CSS available.<-- About 4 names down from Theme Builder is Custom CSS. Click on this button.
11. In the blank field put in this code to center your header #banner { background-position: center; } Click save changes.
Typepad sometimes takes a while to upload new stuff to your blog.
I am going to start on customizing the sidebar titles this week. I started on ATS's, I have done email me, categories, and special designers.

I caught a very nasty cold from my daughter. It started last Sunday with a sore throat, now it is a lingering stuffy nose and cough. Onto the card.
I made this card a while back. I tried the layered technique, it is time consuming but makes for a really neat effect.
And a close up look-
I used Ornament Ewe, Copic markers and some old pattern paper I had laying around.

I wanted to do a simple card and this is what I came up with.
I took the Christmas Bulb die and just used a section of the die. Now Emma is holding a string of lights.

I got a chance to play with a Tickled Pink stamp. I colored her and then tried to find matching paper, that was a bad plan. I could only find this little bit of pink pattern paper that matched.
The flowers are made with our new 5 point flowers and the new leaves die.

I colored these 2 last year and the poor little things have been sitting on my craft table ever since.
I love to cut out the images but then you lose their 'grounding", I die cut a little white circle to attach to the feet. then I added in the shadowing with Copics. I think I need to invest or create and oval die to do this, especially when you have 2 characters.

When I designed the key and lock die set I knew I wanted some nice shimmery heavy weight cardstock to make the dies look like real keys. I found some wonderful 107lb cardstock. This cardstock shimmers like you wouldn't believe. Lesa made a card with a key on it and you can see by the picture that the cardstock is full of shimmer.
She used Bronze on this card. We will be releasing 4 colors with this release: Copper, Pewter, Gold, and Bronze.
The cardstock will be sold in single color packs of 5 sheets or a multi-pack of 1 of each color.

Whoo hoo me! I stamped and I am posting it on my blog. This is Sweetheart Birgitta, available Monday January 3rd. My favorite part about drawing her was the striped tights, aren't they just adorable?
The key and lock is a new die set designed to coordinate with the pixies, but I see a lot more uses for them. How about someone that buys a new home? Or even someone that gets there drivers license for the first time?
The pink cardstock is Prisms from Bazzill. It is my favorite paper to use, and will be coming back into the store. We will be selling it in packs of 5 sheets. A couple colors of Prism and a new sparkly cardstock will be available January 3rd. The sparkly cardstock colors will be great to use with the key die set.
Make sure to come back over the next week, we have paper to introduce, stamps, and the new key die that easily snips apart!
