We have a major problem facing us regarding the foam on our stamps. As you may know we use the black thin ez mount foam on our C.C. Designs stamps. We order big rolls of the foam to mount the stamps, in the last year we have really seen an increase in our stamp sales and therefore an increase in our foam usage. The manufacturer of the foam makes it as a special item, so when we order the foam we are usually waiting 6 weeks to get the foam.
We did actually run out of black foam and bought out a couple different distributors and eventually had to use gray for a while. It looks like we are about to run into that same problem again as the manufacturer won't be able to get another set of rolls until May, we will most likely run out of what we have on hand the end of March.
We have made a decision that we can't keep using the black foam with the issues of keeping it in stock.
This is where we need your opinion:
Do we switch to gray?
or
Do we go foamless?
If we did go foamless we would keep both the black and gray ez mounts in stock and offer different sizes. So tell me what you think!
