Welcome to the CC Designs Autumn Sugarplums Blog Hop!!

The Autumn Sugarplums release is so large the whole team wanted to participate so we decided to do our very first blog hop!

There were a total of 15 stamps released in the Autumn Kit, now is your chance to see them all. There are 5 Emmas, 3 Trevors, 6 Accessories, and 1 sentiments set.

I used Apple Emma to create this back to school treat for the teacher. Apple Emma includes the 2 different sizes of apple stamps, that I used to stamp on the lables. I then wrapped the labels around chocolate nuggets I found at Walmart. The tin is our silver hinged mint box.

Review Preview: Sugarplum Halloween & Scene

 

Today is Friday and that means another Review Preview.  This time we are reviewing the recently released Sugarplum Halloween & Scene sets!   We are also giving away a $5 gift certificate to All That Scraps, but you have to find it!   Today's project is from our very talented DT member, Jeanette:

Black Magic by Jeanette

The Sugarplums Halloween stamp set from C.C. Designs is adorable with a capital A!!!  Don't you think Olivia and Christopher make the cutest little trick or treaters?  There are so many stamps in this set, you will always have a perfect image to add to your creation.  Not only that, you have lots of fun sentiments too!  So many possibilities and I only used a few of them for these! 

 

Since these are Halloween stamps, I thought it would be fun to use the Black Magic technique with them.  Olivia and Christopher were perfect for it! I started with black cardstock and stamped my images with white ink.  Then comes the fun part.  I took my prismacolor pencil, dipped it into mineral spirits and then colored directly on the black cardstock.  The mineral spirits soften the pencil a bit and make it color smoothly on the black cardstock and it just brightens right before your eyes.  It's very cool to watch.   I was careful not to color over the white stamped lines because the color will cover them.  After I finished coloring, I used a glitter pen to outline everything.

 

For Olivia's card, I used some dp from K&Co, pop-dotted the little owl that's riding on her broom, and attached dew drops to the corners and a ribbon to the front.  I kept it simple because I love the image on the black with such fun bright colors.

 

Christopher is holding onto a hershey bar.  When you pull the ribbon up it pulls the candy bar out of the holder.  After I colored Christopher and friends, I cut them out and adhered Christopher to the Making Memories dp, then pop-dotted his pitchfork and the cat.  I also pop-dotted the sentiment and then added some red gems, just a little extra bling :)

 

These are just a couple more fun things to do with these great stamps!  I hope you get a chance to try this technique.  If you do, upload it to the gallery and let us see your creations.

Review Preview: Spooky Spooky Spooky

 

Every Friday the Design Team will be doing a Review Preview with one of the stamp sets from the last C.C. Designs release.  We will spotlight a project from one of the Design Team members and we are also giving away a $5 gift certificate to All That Scraps.   But you'll have to blog hop to find it! Today's featured set is Spooky Spooky Spooky.  Below is the project spolight from our very own Kimmie:

Halloween Treat Bag by Kimmie

I'm so thrilled to be playing with the new Spooky, Spooky, Spooky stamp set  from C.C. Designs!!  Could that poor little Lucky look any more terrified??  And little bear dressed up as a vampire!  How cute!!

The thing I enjoy about this stamp set is that it's not a scary or creepy Halloween set....Christine makes even those hairy arachnids look cuddly!!  I can use these stamps on cards for anyone, especially little kids....and I mean who enjoys Halloween more?!

So I decided to make a little treat bag with matching gift card and I used the designer bag template that has been making it's way around the stampin' world lately.  I used designer paper by Imaginisce and coordinating cardstock to create them!

I stamped each of the characters on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them in using Copic markers and pop dotted them to add dimension.  I added lots of different ribbon, made handles for the bag using my round tab punch and I also made a little hanging tag for the bag using those scary eyeballs and round BOOOOOOO sentiment that are included with the set.

The card is just a quick and simple 4x4 gift card that accents the bag nicely.

Stamp Release Preview: Sugarplum Halloween

I couldn't do the Spooky Scenes without Olivia, and she brought her friend Christopher!

I had so much fun drawing both of them and all the pieces in this set, this set is HUGE and just fits in the tin.

I didn't use either Christopher or Olivia, I used the pumpkins and black cat instead. I searched www.allrecipes.com yesterday for a good Halloween cookie and found this one for Black Cat Cookies.

 

I made a simple topper for some kitty cookies.

The baggie is available in the store, I have 3 sizes, one size is a cute little small one.
